Discover the Magic

I was always surrounded and supported by an artistic family.  Music, arts & crafts and the creative process were encouraged from an early age.  So naturally I chose a profession in the arts.  My college major was commercial art with an illustration minor.  I earned my Associate of Arts Degree just as Apple Mac introduced it's first assisted computer art program for that industry.   My young "hippy diippy" thoughts leaned more toward natural hands-on "true talent" rather than computer assistance so I stayed in college for another 4 years and tried on every art class available.  When nothing stuck, I turned to my 2nd love, sewing, and for the next 40 years ran my own business in the garment industry.  I created new products, clothing design patterns and stuffed animals.  At one time  my production factory employed 25 happy workers and delivered thousands of products to market weekly.  This actually fulfilled my creative spirit well and also my heart by giving back and supporting my community.  Retirement finally came and I was able to look back over my shoulder to my first love without the pressure of living as the "proverbial starving artist".  

Watercolors for me are a wonderfully flexible medium:  lending an ethereal light and transparency to substantial thought and the ability to fully express one's vision.  Loving thanks to my Family, my many Teachers, Friends and Supporters.
